Quality Control Manager
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of a complete quality control program. This person will develop a quality inspection program and document quality processes. The Quality Control Manager must also be able to conduct root cause analysis and propose and implement solutions.

This is an extremely hands-on position, and will work closely with engineering, service, purchasing, and production to help achieve the highest total quality possible for products and services.

Additionally, the Quality Control Manager must be able to perform statistical quality analysis complete with data collection and process control. Product inspection will also be a critical part of the success of this position.

Degree in quality, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering is greatly preferred.

Skills Required:

  • At least ten years of experience in developing/working closely with quality control programs.
  • Experience in product inspection.
  • Experience working with either ISO or Six-Sigma is a plus.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills are a must.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Ability to read engineering blueprints.
  • Working as a self-starter with minimal supervision.

Territory Manager
Fecon is looking for Territory Managers. This person would be responsible for the selling of land clearing equipment and construction equipment attachments to land clearing contractors and construction equipment dealers in your region. This job would be 50% based out of your home, and 50% traveling to dealer sites and constructions sites.

You would be responsible for building relationships; both setting up new relationships, and nurturing existing relationships with our dealers and customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing sales targets among land clearing contractors. We will pass on some hot leads, but being able to make new contacts is also required.

Product testing and operation training is a crucial part of this position.

Skills Required:

  • The knowledge of heavy equipment/construction equipment is helpful
  • Two years experience in construction equipment sales is helpful, but not mandatory
  • 25-50% travel will be required
  • Computer literate
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Assistant Parts Sales Manager
The Assistant Parts Sales Manager serves as our main phone customer service representative for customers and dealers. This position will receive incoming parts calls and process parts orders to the warehouse and follow through on shipping. The Assistant Parts Sales Manager will write parts orders, enter them into our computer system and follow up on parts calls. Other duties include researching rebuild and replacement parts with engineering and purchasing departments. Additionally, this position will maintain records and books on parts and machinery information. This position will assist the parts manager on inventory control, backorder expediting and departmental projects as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Mechanical aptitude for identifying parts and components and their relationship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and problem solving skills.
  • People skills, relationship building and management, and telephone skills are a must.
  • Computer skills for order entry, communication, and researching and sourcing parts are a must.
  • Organization abilities and record keeping.
  • Lifting of objects and handling machinery parts is required.

Product Development Engineer/Mechanical Engineer
The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for the implementation design, mechanical composition design, and electrical design of Fecon products. This would consist of responsibilities up to and including complete equipment product development. The Product Development Engineer develops into a product champion role. This position requires five to ten years in a product development role or project management. Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering is required.

  • Ownership over an entire engineering product
  • Mechanical component design experience

440 Assembly Mechanics
This job is for an assembly mechanic to put together our FTX 440 machines.

This job requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to climb in to, out of, and on top of large pieces of logging equipment in order to complete assembly of hydraulics, electrical equipment, and motor installation.

This position requires the mechanic to be able to:

  • Lift 70 pounds, working with wrenches and electrical equipment, and be able to climb in to, out of, and on top of these large machines.
  • Assemble heavy construction equipment for industry leading heavy equipment manufacturer, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Work with production and engineering team to improve vehicle design and manufacturing processes.

Someone with logging, diesel, farm, construction, or some other form of heavy equipment would be a good fit for this position.

Field Service Technician
The Field Service Technician serves conducts field repairs, installations, and updates on Fecon equipment. Visiting customer sites to make repairs, address service problems to determine service and parts needs, and working with parts, service and engineering to fulfill the customer’s requirements is the bulk and main area of responsibility. Training of our customers and dealers on the proper care and maintenance of the product is also a needed element of the position.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, conducting product orientation, and training sessions in house and in the field. Extensive mechanical and hydraulic ability in the mobile equipment industries is required. This can include skid steers, excavators, forestry equipment, fork trucks, semi-trucks, and more. If you are someone that likes to get their hands dirty working on machines, we would like to hear from you. Five years experience or greater in service role is required. Automotive experience is generally not enough.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to travel as required to customer locations (estimated as 50-75% of the time)
  • Resourcefulness to find needed services and parts in remote locations
  • Ability to work with customer and dealer personnel in a cooperative way to get a job or training mission accomplished
  • Excellent people skills working with a diverse set of customers and dealers is a must
  • Skills to repair the customer as well as the machine
  • Willingness to see problems through to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Organizational and record keeping skills are a must

Parts Customer Service Technician

A qualified candidate must have outstanding listening skills, phone skills, be calm under pressure, and have a great attention to detail. Experience with construction and industrial equipment parts is strongly preferred; specifically hydraulics, under-carriages, and drive-trains. Demonstrable computer experience is absolutely required.

NOTE: This position also includes occasional help in the warehouse during peak shipping times, to ship boxes of parts.

Engineering Draftsman Co-Op
The Engineering Technician will be responsible for creating detailed component drawings and weldments. Additionally, this position will interact with welders and assembly personnel to discuss project specifications and product adjustments.

This position requires knowledge of bill of materials (BOM’s), a strong ability to multi-task taking assignments from engineers, and working skills in: Solid Works or Solid Edge, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.
