The perfect combination of brains and brawn — the BHP is controlled by a true POWERMANAGEMENT® MICROCONTROLLER. This feature gives all of the available power to the brush cutter. There is no power loss due to accessories. The performance of the BHP and brush cutter is maximized at all times taking full advantage of the maximum horsepower of the Power Pack. The microcontroller manages the head flow, engine and hydraulic needs in real time. This system captures the full potential of grinding power and delivers superior performance when compared to other power packs.
Serious power for maximum performance.
Fecon® offers a range of Power Packs for your excavator. A power pack is a dedicated power source for any application where more hydraulic horsepower is desirable.
A 20 Ton excavator (or larger) can benefit from the BHP270. Typically you can provide 45-60gpm to the attachment from a 20-30 Ton excavator’s hydraulic system, the BHP 270 can deliver 105 gpm. On the job site, it all comes down to hydraulic horsepower:gpm (flow) x psi (pressure) / 1714 = hydraulic horsepower.
Engine | Cummins QSB6.7 |
Max Flow | 105 gpm |
Pressure Compensator | 5800 psi |

Terrain, density of the vegetation, soil stability, moisture, species to be treated, environmental concerns and obstacles to work around are some of the considerations when choosing the right machine for the application. The successful land-clearing contractor will usually approach the job with a variety of units including tracked or wheeled mulching machines, excavator mulchers and skid steer tractors equipped with mulching attachments as well as other tools to handle the many tasks found on the average land-clearing site.
Maintaining an effective animal habitat encompasses: food, water, shelter, and space. This is where the forestry mulchers and forestry mowers can help. Forestry mulchers and forestry mowers are great tools for removing underbrush and invasive species. Also, water sources can be obstructed from access or become stagnant due to tree and understory growth. Excavator mulchers and tree shears are excellent for managing or removing trees and underbrush.
Clearing the land, for exploration leases, storage sites, or pipelines can present challenges. The successful land-clearing contractor will usually approach the job with a variety of units including tracked or wheeled mulching machines, excavator mulchers and skid steer tractors equipped with mulching attachments as well as other tools to handle the many tasks found on the average land-clearing site.
Selecting the compact tractor or the large mulching tractor can be determined by first looking at the type of work to be done and the type of terrain most commonly found in the area you’re working. Proper selection of attachments and undercarriage options can prove to be very profitable decisions for any type of right-of-way clearing machines.
Fecon forestry equipment can be highly effective when used to remove invasive species. Plant diseases, Beetle-killed trees and invasive species of plants can all pose significant threats to native vegetation, water supplies, and wildlife habitats, and could lead to a potential wildfire.
There are many equipment options for ladder fuel and underbrush removal including tracked or wheeled forestry mulching machines, mulching attachments and tree shears. Forestry mulchers are a tool to consider for mulching fire lines. And after the fire is out and clean up efforts are under way, it is important to ensure minimal water pollution and soil erosion.
