    Job Summary:  

    As a Shipping & Receiving Warehouse person with FECON, you will be part of a 2-person team of a Shipping & Receiving staff.  You will be responsible for both shipping and receiving.  In addition, you will be  inspecting and properly storing incoming parts for our equipment, to ensure easy accessibility and retrieval. Finally, this position will require the operation of overhead crane, fork truck and pallet jack. 


    Key accountabilities in order of priority and with ideal time allocations are:

    • Pick, pack and ship Parts Orders

               -Receives, verifies, inspects and accurately stores parts for easy accessibility.

               -Warehouse transfers between departments

               -Delivery of Service Parts Requests

               -Pull parts to create kits

               -Check in Returns of Parts orders

               -Facilitate shipping of supplier returns

    • Prepares daily order shipments by performing the necessary functions of picking the parts, properly packing them and then shipping them through the UPS or FEDEX Portal in conjunction with our ERP system.  
    • Receives and unloads incoming materials, verifies quantities shown on packing slips to actual items received and matches to the original purchase order and Fecon part number; documents location for entry into the ERP system and creates new locations for new parts.
    • Conducts a visual inspection of parts and documents any shipping damage; reports damaged goods to vendor and work in conjunction with the vendor to resolve damaged issues.
    • Facilitates supplier returns for Fecon; obtains return materials authorization (RMA) and properly packages parts for return to the supplier.
    • Delivers service parts upon request or as necessary
    • Daily review of Kit inventory and building of kits as needed. 
    • Perform warehouse transfers by pulling parts and moving them from one warehouse to the next and performing transfer function within our ERP system. 
    • Handles the returns of Parts orders coming back to Fecon, conducts inspection, checks the parts in, determines shelf location and replaces the parts on the appropriate shelf accordingly. 
    • Works in conjunction with other shipping personnel to ensure all parts labels are accurate and create new labels for parts that are moved or new to the warehouse. 
    • Ensures the department is orderly and organized by maintaining the 5S standards.


    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum 2-3 years of prior shipping and/or receiving experience.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.


    Physical Requirements:

    • This is a physical job and will require that you are standing most of the work day.
    • Additionally, this position requires heavy lifting of varying weights up to 50-85 pounds.  
    • You will frequently (75-100% of time on job) be required to walk, sit, use hands or fingers for gripping pressure to carry, lift, push or pull items with machine assistance and operate hand controls.
    • Lastly, you will frequently (50-75% of time on job) be required to stoop, kneel, balance on scaffolding, climb stairs and ladders, repeatedly bend, twist while rotating at the waist, reach above their head, place wrist or feet in prolonged positions of flexion or extension and operate foot controls.

  • R&D Technician

    Job Summary:

    As an R&D Technician in Fecon’s R&D department, you will be a member of the team that builds, tests and validates new prototypes.  You will work closely with the other R&D team members and the engineering department to identify critical manufacturing techniques to facilitate implementation of new product launches.


    The hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm with potential overtime which may include some weekends.


    Job Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

    - The R&D Tech will assemble the prototypes and is expected to be observant and proactive in considering more efficient ways of assembling units when they go to production.

    - It is the R&D Tech’s responsibility to assist with and perform testing and analysis of Fecon equipment, OEM equipment and the various systems with close attention to detail.

    - The R & D Tech will be required to operate the machinery at the factory or at the test farms.  Previous experience operating machines is desired but not required.

    - Duties include completing reports, recording test findings and presenting issues in a professional manner.

    - The R & D Tech must be able to act as lead man lead on the floor in the absence of the Lead R&D Tech.



    Job Requirements:

    - Advanced knowledge and experience working with hydraulics, electronics, engines and power trains is required.

    - Must be able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.

    - The ability to read welding and fabrication prints is a plus.

    - R&D Tech must be self-motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities with a talent for thinking outside the box.

    - Candidate must be able to work efficiently and professionally in a high stress environment with the understanding that priorities and assignments will constantly change.

    - Good communication skills are vital for this position.

  • Territory Manager

    Fecon is looking for a quality-driven team member to manage equipment sales. This individual is responsible for selling Fecon land clearing equipment and construction attachments to land clearing contractors and construction equipment dealers. This position is home-based with regular travel. This is a hands-on job, working with the equipment and demoing for customers and also training operators. The Territory Manager will occasionally partner with the engineering and production departments to consider revisions and updates.


    Our Territory Managers are responsible for building relationships – both setting up new relationships and nurturing existing relationships with our dealers and customers. Additionally, responsibilities include developing sales targets among land clearing contractors.


    **Product testing and operation training is a crucial responsibility of this position.**


    Skills and Knowledge:

    •     Knowledge of heavy equipment/construction equipment is required.
    •     Two years of experience in sales of construction equipment is helpful.
    •     Computer literate.
    •     Strong work ethic.
    •     Extremely organized with excellent written and oral communication skills.
    •     Must be able to handle cold calls.
    •     Physical ability to safely climb onto and around the equipment.
    •     Experience and physical ability to safely drive and operate machinery.
    •     Must have valid drivers license.

    JOB SUMMARY: The Product Specialist is an expert for their assigned products and responsible for supporting the product management of assigned products, assisting in developing sales and marketing collateral, ensuring all product related information is communicated to the appropriate channels, and contributing to achieving targets for the category.


    Key performance objectives in order of priority include:

    1. Promotes and inspires opportunities for assigned product sales, market share, and profitability. (10%)

    1.  Participates in new product Gate meetings and launches.


    2.  Assists Product Manager in gathering appropriated data to accurately forecast product sales.


    3.  Assists Product Manager in meeting corporate objectives for the assigned product categories, including sales, profit, and market share.

  • Shop Service Technician

    The Shop Service Technician serves conducts repairs and updates on Fecon equipment. Visiting customer sites to make repairs, address service problems to determine service and parts needs, and working with parts, service and engineering to fulfill the customer’s requirements is the bulk and main area of responsibility.

    The Shop Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment in house and in the field. Extensive mechanical and hydraulic ability in the mobile equipment industries is required. This can include skid steers, excavators, forestry equipment, fork trucks, semi-trucks, and more. If you are someone that likes to get their hands dirty working on machines, we would like to hear from you. Automotive experience is generally not enough.



    •     Resourcefulness to find needed services and parts in remote locations.
    •     Mechanical aptitude and the ability to MIG or flux core weld.
    •     Excellent people skills working with a diverse set of customers and dealers is a must.
    •     Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

  • Field Service Technician

    Reports to the Service Manager

    This position does not manage employees.

    Conduct field repairs, installations and updates on heavy equipment.
Visit customer sites to make repairs and address service problems to determine service and parts needs.
Work with Parts, Service and Engineering departments to fulfill customer requirements is a large part of the responsibilities.
Train customers and dealers on the proper care and maintenance of equipment are also part of the duties.
Additional responsibilities include trouble shooting, conducting product orientation and training sessions in-house and on the road.
Extensive mechanical, electrical and hydraulic ability in the Heavy Equipment industry is REQUIRED.
This can include skid steers, excavators, forestry equipment, fork trucks, semi-trucks and more. AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.


    Skills Required:

    •     Ability to travel as required to customer locations (50% - 75% of the time).
    •     Resourcefulness to find needed services and parts in remote locations.
    •     Ability to work with customer and dealer personnel in a cooperative way to get a job or training mission accomplished.
    •     Excellent people skills working with a diverse set of customers and dealers.
    •     Skills to repair the customer as well as the equipment.
    •     Willingness to see problems through to a satisfactory conclusion.

  • Lead Machinist

    FECON is actively recruiting for a Lead Machinist.  Hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.  You will be responsible for programming, setting up and completing machining jobs on mills / haas mill and boring mills in a job shop environment.


    Position Responsibilities:


    Plan Work

    • Work with the Supervisor and/or Lead Machinist to prioritize jobs for completion.
    • Review traveler packet and drawings
    • Plan job: select processes, materials, tools
    • Use material handling equipment to prepare material for machining and stage material when complete


    Operate Equipment

    • Compile or review program for accuracy and set up the job
    • Load and locate the first piece
    • Select, assemble and set tools
    • Prove out set-up
    • Run the program
    • Check the first piece using micrometers and other tools
    • Run remaining pieces and check for burrs
    • Clean and deburr parts as needed
    • Properly dispose of scrap material
    • Complete required paperwork


    Maintain Equipment

    • Monitor and top off coolant and lubricating oil as needed
    • Replace machine air filters
    • Perform preventative maintenance on CNC equipment as recommended by the equipment manufacturer



    • Assist in other departments as needed, including assembly and performing preventative maintenance on other equipment
    • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area using 5 S practices.
    • Use appropriate personal protective equipment and otherwise work in a safe manner


    Position Requirements:


    Education & Experience

    • Must have high school diploma or equivalent and formal or on-the-job training in CNC machining.
    • Minimum four years of recent experience machining AND minimum two years’ experience in G-code programming with Fanuc controls.


    Skill Competencies

    • Proficient in setting up and operating milling with Haas/Fanuc controls.
    • Proficient in BobCad and ProCam preferred.
    • Familiar with machine shop processes and procedures.
    • Familiar with quality instruments and procedures.

  • press brake operator


    A brake press operator uses an electrically powered industrial machine to create, shape and customize metal material into a variety of forms dictated by the manufacturer.  Required to read and interpret detailed and complex instructions to produce the desired forms. 


    1.  Sets stops on machine bed, change dies, and adjust components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.


    2.  Operates power press, power brake, apron brake, swaging machine, foot-powered press, hydraulic press or arbor press according to specifications.


    3.  Installs, aligns and secures gears, holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims and hand tools.


    4.  Plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of the metal.


    5.  Inspects workpiece for defects.


    6.  Measures workpiece and verifies dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge and scale.


    7.  Selects and positions flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine, using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools.


    8.  Maintain the machinery and keep the work area clean and orderly.


    Skills Required:

    1.  Good Math Skills: in order to understand complex instructions, how schematics work and to ensure that items are designed and built correctly.


    2.  Problem Solving Skills: in order to understand when the machine is not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.


    3.  Attention to Detail: press brakes are precision equipment.  Being off by millimeters could be a critical error.


    4.  Mechanical and Technical Skills: machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand technology.


    5.  Stamina: press brake operators often long hours doing repetitive movements.


    Physical Requirements:

    1.  Ability to safely lift 75 pounds


    2.  Use overhead cranes and jib cranes
